Subway’s new outlet at Kai Tak Sports Park marks a strategic step into one of Hong Kong’s most prestigious sports and entertainment venues, renowned as the world’s second-most expensive stadium complex.

The design combines a sleek, modern Subway aesthetic with strict security and operational requirements unique to the arena. Notable challenges included rigorous security protocols, a ban on bottled and canned drinks (requiring all beverages to be served in paper cups), and fitting a full production line into a compact footprint of around 400 sq ft.

Finishes feature wood textures, white tiles, and signature green branding, while exposed ceilings accommodate complex MEP systems. Advanced food prep equipment and focused LED lighting ensure efficiency and brand consistency.

 

Despite demanding access restrictions and intense compliance checks, the fit-out was completed in just 45 days. Opened in 2025, the store has quickly become a thriving hub, particularly during major events, highlighting Subway’s adaptability and our capability to deliver high-quality, bespoke retail spaces in challenging environments.
