Project Overview
This project marks ENOCHDECO’s first retail store within an MTR station, a highly regulated environment where safety, material compliance, and precision in execution are of paramount importance. Despite the store’s compact size of only 150 sqft, the time and effort required exceeded that of many larger projects.

The MTR Corporation enforces strict safety and construction requirements due to the station’s high passenger traffic. All materials must come from their pre-approved list, supported by multiple certifications and test reports. The documentation and submission process alone took nearly two months before construction could begin.

Project Timeline

Site Handover: June 2025

Construction Start: May-August 2025

Fit-Out Duration: 3–4 weeks

Inspection & Approval: Additional 2 weeks after completion

Given the constraints, we retained the existing air-conditioning and fire services systems, focusing instead on new furniture, branded decals, signage updates, and enhanced lighting. Even with a minimalist scope, the rigorous approval process and site conditions extended the overall timeline to approximately three months.
